Science and Spirituality - An interesting thought
Although much progress was made and is being made, there is still a plethora of unsolved mysteries, unanswered questions and several paradoxes that are yet to be addressed. For example, there is a theory called 11-dimensional super gravity which argues that there are a total of 11 dimensions, the universe is made up of: two time dimensions and nine space dimensions. But what we perceive directly with our physical senses is a world which has three space dimensions and one time dimension. What the current physics is doing is indirectly trying to prove the existence of these hidden dimensions which are said to be of very small sizes and are curled up with the three dimensions which we perceive.
The question now is...is there a way in which we can perceive these hidden dimensions? Spirituality seems to have an answer to this question. The reason is, there seem to be a similarity between these concepts. In the spiritual science, there are sthula sharira, sukshma sharira and a karana sharira, the three bodies which every thing is made up of. Sthula sharira is the physical body which can be perceived by the normal senses. The sukshma sharira and the karana sharira are bodies which cannot be perceived by directly by the physical senses, but by a proper technique of rigorous yoga. Perhaps these could be the bodies of the same being in the hidden dimensions stated above. If this could be true, then everything created would have an existence in many or all of the dimensions!
Yogis in ancient India are said to have supernatural powers with which they were able to tell the future with a great accuracy. Their yogic powers could perhaps be related to their consciousness of their beings in the extra dimensional realms with which they could have actually traveled in the time dimension to the future, the past and back to the present. So in some sense, they can be treated as time travelers.
There is also a concept called moksha, which is ultimate state of super consciousness. This could be related to the theory of everything. While pursuing the path for attaining this ultimate salvation, the person who pursue this or as per the Indian spirituality, the Yogi needs to have an understanding and more importantly a feel of numerous concepts like the matter with everything is made up of, the purpose of creation and destruction, the nature of the creator, the goal of everything created, the destiny of everything. Simply putting, the yogi needs to have understood the theory of everything, the subsequent consequence of which could be attainment of powers, the so called Siddhis which include the omniscience, the ability to manipulate matter and so on. A detailed explanation regarding these concepts can be availed in the Indian spiritual texts.
With a deeper understanding of the myriad concepts of physics that were baffling the physicists all over the world in the future, there could be an explanation to the entire phenomenon stated above. Fortunately or unfortunately, there is still a long way to go. The consequences of such an understanding also would be harder to explain in the physical terminology. But, let us take an optimistic view and hope that the future would lead to the ultimate understanding of everything, which I feel, would better explain the Purpose of our existence!

Do not re-use mineral water bottles! ( Must know)
Many are unaware of poisoning caused by re-using plastic bottles.
Some of you may be in the habit of using and re-using your disposable mineral water bottles(e.g. Nestle, Bisleri, Aquafina, Kinley, Evian, etc...), keeping them in your car or at work.
It happened in Dubai, when a 12 year old girl died after a long usage (16 months) of SAFA mineral water bottle, as she used to carry the same fancy (painted by herself) bottle to her school daily.
In a nutshell, the plastic (called polyethylene terephthalate or PET) used in these bottles contains a potentially carcinogenic element ( something called diethylhydroxylamine or DEHA).
The bottles are safe for one-time use only; if you must keep them longer, it should be no more than a few days, week max, and keep them away from heat as well. Repeated washing and rinsing can cause the plastic to break down and the carcinogens (cancer-causing chemical agents) can leak into the water that YOU are drinking. Better to invest in water bottles that are really meant for multiple uses.
I wanna repeat the old saying , but my version " Prevention is very simple and infinite times better than cure"
A misconceptional rumour in this context:
Check on the bottom of the bottle there is a triangle sign and there will be a number on it (PETE).
If it is 5 or more --> Safe to use ,
Whatever number under 5 will release the cancer causing chemical.
Unfortunately for most bottle water, the number is 1.
So keep it in mind when you are using plastic bottles.
What's the fact about this number?
So, what’s in a number? The numeric codes that you see on many plastic items are used to help sort post-consumer plastics for recycling purposes.
Different types of plastics are sometimes referred to as “resins” and the numeric symbols are known as “Resin ID Codes.” Each number (1 through 6) signifies a specific type of plastic and usually appears inside a small triangle (often formed by three adjoining arrows) imprinted on the bottom of a plastic item. The number “7” is used to represent a group of other plastics or combinations of plastics.
Resin ID codes are not intended to provide guidance on the safe or appropriate use of any plastic item and should not be used for this purpose.

Purpose of Education
All these will be education if they educate the person, then what is educating? as is said by many philosophers and socialists, education should impart cultural and moral values to the person, but not only this. the ultimate purpose of education is making the person understand his purpose and his goals personally and his responsiblity for his family, his society and ultimately towards mankind. So I can define education as means of learning all these and most importantly understanding and getting a feel of all these things.
Now, are we getting this kind of education today ? obviously no. every one blames the educational system , and the government. But, can we say that it is all their responsibility to create such an atmosphere ? this again would be no since WE make the system and we are encouraging this competitive world by being a part of it.
This may seem contradicting since competition does create a significant progress but what i am saying about is positive competition where the emphasis is on learning rather than winning grades and ranks. Earlier there used to be educational systems called "gurukul" in which the kind of education pursued encompasses all aspects of living a peaceful and complete life. today we hardly see such educational systems where complete education is provided. Of course many institutions are there which provide a proper education but the key questions is, is it available to the common man?
No, i am not blaming the government since it puts efforts to provide this kind of education to all, but most of the efforts are in vain. Why? just because the flaw is in the execution of the policies and the schemes. This is the main thing to be changed . So, we know the cause exactly but no clues that we are trying to correct it. We can see the same problem stated in politicians speeches, intellectual seminars, news papers and in articles (like you are reading now), we are selfishly making benefit out of our country's major problem. We are all part of this sin ( including u & me) and it is we who have to clean it.
